" "stay away from models like the Road King"
I know ladies that ride a RK. I own one too. They are low to the ground and the shield pops right off for intown riding...... "
thi... haha, i wasn't implying that a woman shouldn't drive a Road King, as a matter of fact, my first Harley is going to be a Road King. i was simply letting shari know that Road Kings, etc. are "touring" models.. meaning they ARE designed specifically for a person who intends on using their bike as their main vehical, as well as for travelling long and far distances (like visiting biker ralleys ). of course, they don't NEED to be used for those purposes, however, when someone invests in their FIRST bike it may as well be suited to their needs
p.s. shari, there are some good used bikes out there. don't be sad!! hmm, think about this some more and if you are very serious i know some people that could help you find exactly what you are looking for (used) as well as get you a deal. my dad deals and fixes up used bikes in his spare time. email me whenever you want and we could talk more .

shari, low riders rock! but like you said, harder to control. the average dry weight of a Dyna Low Rider (most recent models) would be about 630 lbs. whereas Sportsters are usually between 450-500 lbs. that makes a big difference. the length in the frame of the bikes is about 10 inches different (sprotster being shorter) and a lot narrower. regarding price between the two bikes... in canada and the u.s. the difference averages about $6000-10000 (the sportster being the cheaper of the 2). asuming you'd be buying it brand new.
sooo many choices. i suggest you go to a local bike shop and check out your options. the dealers will be more than happy to help you find something that is suited to your needs/wants . good luck shari, let us know what you decide!

hey hun. i'd say check out Harley Sportsters (XL models), they tend to be a lot lighter and easier to control. also, the frame of these models are much narrower and shorter than say Springer models, etc.
stay away from models like the Road King and Electra Glides, as they're designed for travelling long distances and some serious riding.
(sorry, i only know a lot about Harleys - plus, it's the only way to ride )

TERA :
How many gay men meet one man, stay committed with no outside partners for the rest of their life?do you mean stay with the very first person they meet?? well you asked... i know 3 gay men (all in their 30's) and 2 of them were teenagers when they first had 'gay sex' and are STILL with their first boyfriends and don't cheat (to my knowledge). aww ain't that sweeeeeet *gets all mushy*
I know many heterosexuals that do...only seen this happen once..
but in the gay lifestyle it does- not- happen. The gay lifestyle is about going from person to person.are YOU gay? do YOU have any gay friends? what are you basing this claim on?? get some facts or provide me with some personal info and then we'll talk
You do not meet alot of straights that hang out in bath houses looking for a 'fix up'. There might be some, but it is not the norm.oh? i don't?? hmm, that's pretty funny considering about 8 out of 10 of my close pals haven't been in an actual relationship in months or years... yet they still get laid every weekend
You will find this a common occurance among gays. There are bathrooms where gays will anonymously have sex, not knowing their names.shit, come to where i live and go in a bar bathroom... you'll find lots of straight people getting it on in the bathroom stalls. my best pal in grade 9 was 100% straight and to this day she doesn't know the name of her son's dad . but just gays are like that, eh??
And this is 'love'? When people say God doesnt care who we love, thats a joke.*laugh* you fucking hypocrite.. don't bring in the whole caring about living healthy lifestyles bullshit. you don't give a shit. if you did, you wouldn't pulling unfactual and unexperienced information out of your ass...you'd be complaining about teen pregnancy, kids with aids, junkies doing dope on the streets, etc.
It's not about love. You can love anyone you want. When you take in an unhealthy lifestyle, there are reprecussions.
My mother and father grew up in a small hometown where there was a small number of gays. They would dress up and hang out together. My parents vividly recall them yelling at passerby, offering B.J.'s and cat calling men. They would hit on little boys, and a close friend of my mother's got sucked into the lifestyle. He admitted the gay men paid him for favors and she would see him riding around town with them, in a new car and new clothes.i appreciate finally hearing some kind of personal experience so i can somewhat understand where your thoughts and ideas about gays are coming from (even though the info is second-hand from your parents). to be even, i'll reply in the same manner. my parents also grew up in a small town. they went to high school with 3 gay boys. all 3 boys were 'out' and openly gay. one of them was at a party one night with a bunch of people. he took advatage of a drunk and passed out man in one of the bedrooms. the gay guy was 100% sober AND was fully aware that the guy he was giving oral sex to was straight and WOULD NOT approve of what was going on if he was awake. on the other hand, the other two boys never ever offended anyone, never uttered vulgar or rude things at anyone and were very respectful young adults. being gay DOES NOT make someone an asshole that doesn't respect other people!!!
Where is he now? He died of AIDS.that is really truly sad, tera. something that makes me even sadder tho (because it hits a little closer to home) is my dad. where is HE now? he is in my bed sleeping right now. he came to visit me for the weekend ! we had a long chat tonight about catching up for the passed 10 years we've hardly been able to be together. what triggered this?? well, he thinks he is dying from AIDS. no, he certainly isn't gay, but he may have gotten it from sharing a needle with/having unprotected sex with his WIFE. disease doesn't give a damn if you are gay or not... if you aren't careful (gay OR straight) you put yourself at risk.
My father even admitted to me that one of the gay men cornered him and molested him as he tried to get away. This is something I have never told anyone, but it shows the lifestyle and mentality of the 'gay' lifestyle. Anyone who denies it is in deep denial and needs help.i'm truly sorry to hear about your father's experience. i can relate. for 5 years i was raped and molested by my stepmother. but fortunatly i could never be so sick in the head to blame her bisexuality for the abuse... i blame the problems she has inside her head for the abuse. THE REAL PROBLEM!!
i can tell you that i was very close to vomiting when i read your comment "This is something I have never told anyone, but it shows the lifestyle and mentality of the 'gay' lifestyle." ... you just pretty well accused me of the most awful thing imaginable to me - being capable of sexually abusing someone because i am bisexual. who the fuck are you to make such a bold claim???? who the fuck are you to say that a gay person has any more of a mentality to rape/molest than someone who is not gay?? you are a very sick person! and right now, you are just as vile as the people who sexualy harm others for making a statement like that. *puke*
